Granville, Ohio - DePauw's women are in third place after the first full day of North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships competition as the Tigers have totaled 351 points. Kenyon leads with 614 and Denison is second with 610. Wooster is fourth with 306.
The 800-yard freestyle relay of Tara Holder, Tarah Lang, Mia Hagenauer and Emily Thompson opened the meet on Wednesday evening with an all-conference performance as it finished second in 7:40.42.
The 200-yard free relay of Maggie Perry, Lang, Emily Kaiser and Sammie Waples also earned all-NCAC accolades by finishing third in 1:35.38 which is also an NCAA "B" time.
Holder led the Tigers in the 500 free by finishing eighth in 5:02.77, while Ellie Umbach was the Tigers' top finisher in the 200 individual medley with a 10th-place showing in 2:08.51 and Perry placed eighth in the 50 free in 23.81 seconds.
The Championships continue Friday and Saturday at Denison University.
