Greencastle, Ind. - Four DePauw players scored in double figures as the Tigers advanced to the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tournament championship game with an 84-55 win over Marian (Wis.) in today's first game. DePauw, now 6-5, faces 15th-ranked and 10-2 Wisconsin-Eau Claire in tomorrow's 4 p.m. EST title game after the Blugolds topped 10th-ranked Trine by a 75-68 score. DePauw jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the opening 3:08 as Ainsley Boras scored three-straight buckets and Ava Hassel followed with a three-pointer. After the Sabres stopped the run with a basket, the Tigers put together another 9-0 stretch to extend the lead to 18-2. 

The Tigers took a 22-8 lead into the second period and outscored the Sabres, 25-21, in the second for a 47-29 halftime lead. DePauw scored the first four points of the second half and Marian was no closer than 20 the rest of the way. The hosts built as much as a 31-point advantage in the closing period.

Moira McGinley led DePauw with a career-high 17 points followed by Boras with 15, Mya Shannon with 13 and Hassel with 11. Diana Burgher paced DePauw with eight rebounds with Hassel dishing out a career-best seven assists and Maura Fitzgerald six.

Kiara Williams led the Sabres with 12 points with Paris Harris, Lacey Frase and Chelsea King each adding 10. Harris and Williams each grabbed five rebounds.

DePauw shot 42.5 percent to Marian's 41.3 percent and the Tigers knocked in 10 three-pointers. The Tigers held a 49-26 edge on the boards and a 25-6 advantage in second-chance points. DePauw committed 14 turnovers to the Sabres' 23. 

In the second game, Trine led by 10 in the first period, but Wis.-Eau Claire outscored the Thunder, 44-18 over the middle quarters and led by as many as 19. Trine closed the gap to three in the closing minutes but the Blugolds held on for the win. Jessie Ruden led the Blugolds with 23 points with Tyra Boettcher chipping in 22 and 10 rebounds. Makayla Ardis scored 23 for Trine and grabbed 11 rebounds.
