Richmond, Ind. - DePauw extended its win streak to three and moved to 5-1 on the season following an 80-63 win at Earlham. The Quakers dropped to 0-4.
Earlham took an eight-point lead at 23-15 with 9:06 left in the first half, but DePauw quickly responded with
Ryan Jacobson's bucket and a 3-pointer from
Sam Jacobs.The Quakers made a pair of free throws, but
Elijah Hales hit a layup and a three to even the count at 25-25. Earlham's last lead was at 30-28 before
Grant Gohmann scored in the paint and
Kyle Lillwitz knocked in a trey. DePauw took a 42-40 lead into the intermission.
The Quakers tied the game early in the second half before DePauw rattled off seven-straight points. DePauw extended the margin to double digits at 62-51 with a 6-0 run which was capped by a Hales basket with 9:45 left. The Tigers gradually stretched the lead to as many as 19 in the closing minute.
Hales led the Tigers with 26 points, while Jacobs added 11 and
Grant Niego finished with 10.

Ronald Johnson and Jacobs each had five rebounds and
Billy Bach recorded three steals.
Tommy Makabu paced Earlham with 19 points and six rebounds with Anthony Phillips following with 16 points.and four steals.
DePauw shot 54.5 percent from the field including 59.3 percent in the first half, while Earlham shot 39.1 percent and just 30.3 percent in the second half. The Tigers held a 38-25 rebounding edge and hit all 11 free throws.
The Tigers travel to Benedictine on Saturday, Nov. 26, for a 3 p.m. CST game against the Eagles.
