Greencastle, Ind.- Four DePauw women's soccer team members were named to the College Sports Communicators(CSC) Academic All-District® Team.
Sydney Calisto,
Leine Dawson,
Annalise Grammel, and
Emma St. John are among those selected by the College Sports Communicators and recognized as the nation's top student-athletes for their combined efforts in the classroom and on the field.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
Calisto (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville), a sophomore midfielder, finished the 2022 season second in goals with four and led the Tigers in game-winning goals (3). She completed the season with nine points and earned a spot on the All-NCAC second team.
Dawson (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg), a junior midfielder, played a crucial role in assisting DePauw's backline by containing advances in the midfield and pushing the ball forward for the Tigers to attack the other end. Dawson started in 15 of the Tigers' 18 games this season and was named to the All-NCAC second-team.
Grammel (Canal Winchester, Ohio/ The Columbus Academy), a junior midfielder, led the Tigers in goals (6), assists (5), and points (17). She was named All-NCAC Midfielder of the Year and earned a spot on the All-NCAC first team.
Rounding out the four Tigers named to the Division III Academic All-District® Team is St. John (St. Louis, Mo./Villa Duchesne), a senior goalkeeper. She finished the 2022 season with a save average of .731, recorded 38 saves for the year, and was third in the NCAC for goals against (14). St. John completed her career with a save percentage of .805, with eight shutouts and a record of 11-6-5. She was named to the All-NCAC third team for her efforts this season.
