Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw men's swim team fell to Rose-Hulman in its first dual meet, 137-89 at home.
The Tigers finished the night with ten top-three individual finishes while recording two top-three finishes in relays.
Kicking off the meet,
Will Plumb,
Patrick Unterreiner,
James Shorney, and
Michael Ray finished second in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:40.7
Unterreiner would finish the evening with two individual first-place and one second-place finish. In the 50-yard breaststroke, he earned first with a time of 28.46, and in the 200-yard IM, he took first with a time of 2:04.71, leading the charge in sweeping the event. Unterreiner's second-place finish was in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.18.
Shorney found similar success, with second-place finishes in both the 50-yard freestyle (22.49) and in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 24.03.

Jimmy Anderson swam a 26.60 in the 50-yard backstroke for a second-place finish, while
Max Van Doran finished third in the 100-yard backstroke with a 57.49 time.
Helping complete the sweep in the 50-yard butterfly was
Ben Hilfinger, who finished first with a time of 23.32, while teammate
Eli VanHaaren took third with a time of 25.53. In the 200-yard IM,
Evan Villeneuve and
Evan Steffy tied for second place with a time of 2:09.72.
Wrapping up the meet on a high note, the DePauw Tigers finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a nailbiter. Ray, Hilfinger,
Brock Kinnamon, and
Robbie Sheffield swam a 1:27.81, edging out its opponents by a second to take first place.
DePauw's next meet is Saturday, October 15, in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Tigers will be competing in the Indiana DIII Meet, with a start time of 1 p.m.
