Granville, Ohio- The DePauw women's soccer team fell 5-0 on the road to the Denison Big Red, moving to 7-4-3 overall and 2-2 in NCAC play.
 
The Big Red took control of the game early, putting two goals in the back of the Tigers' net in the 14th and 16th minutes of play. Denison's Amy Chiero scored the first goal; she gathered a through ball by Kate Dalimonte in a counterattack. Caroline Garrad put in the Big Red's second goal after getting a pass from teammate Maddie Reap for a 2-0 lead.
 
In the 23rd minute, Denison recorded its third goal of the game when Callie Davis found Caroline Flynn. At the half, the Tigers had just four shots to the Big Red's 14 and were held to no corners across the half.
 
In the second half of play, DePauw held Denison to nine shots and stayed within striking distance; however, the Big Red put the game away in the 81st and 85th minutes when Chiero and Davis scored the fourth and fifth goals for Denison.
 
DePauw's Mallory Mundy finished the night with eight saves, while Denison's Molly Noga recorded two.
 
The Tigers return to Greencastle, Ind., on Saturday, October 22, for its matchup against Oberlin College. DePauw and Oberlin are set to kick off at 12 pm at Reavis Stadium.
