Terre Haute, Ind.- The DePauw women's swimming and diving team recorded 206 points to win its dual against the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers.
From the very first event, the Tigers took control of the meet sweeping the top four times in the 200 yard Medley Relay, with Maggie Peats, Elise Umbach, Madeleine Collier, and Mia Hagenauer finishing first with a time of 1:56.32.
The Tigers would finish the dual with 28 individual top-three finishes, with a handful of DePauw swimmers earning multiple first-place finishes to close out the evening meet.
Peats, Umbach, and Mei-Li Minnich all earned two individual first-place finishes. Peats took first in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.70 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.29. Umbach swam the 200-yard fly and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:24.29 and 2:35.78, respectively. While Minnich finished the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:12.56 and the 200-yard IM in 2:23.96.
Other first-place finishers include Tarah Lang, who swam the 1000-yard free in 11:05.64, Maggie Perry (2:02.55) in the 200-yard free, and Alicia Delgado in the 500-yard free (5:36.88). Maddie Dixon earned first-place in the 100-yard free (57.85), while teammates Claire Sweetwood and Hailey Olsen finished in the top spot in the 50-yard free (24.72) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:14.69), respectively.
The Tigers completed the dual, finishing with the top four times in the 200-yard free relay. Minnich, Mia Strong, Emily Thompson, and Lang took home first with the time of 1:45.62.
DePauw's next meet is set for Saturday, January 15, at Erdmann Natatorium against Franklin College. Meet time is set for 1 pm EST.
