Box Score Gambier, Ohio- The DePauw University field hockey team was shutout, 2-0, on the road against the Kenyon College Ladies.
In the first period of play, the Tigers and the Ladies were trading shots and penalty corners on each other's end. Kenyon, however, managed to pull away from DePauw, scoring its first goal in the opening seconds of the second quarter.
The Tigers were held to just four shots to the Ladies nine across the second and third quarter. Yet in the fourth quarter, DePauw managed to tally two shots to Kenyon's three while recording four penalty corner attempts and holding the Ladies to just one. Despite the 0-2 outcome, senior goalkeeper Allie Duranceau finished the game with seven saves off nine shots on goal, keeping DePauw in the game throughout regulation.
On Saturday, October 2, the Tigers continue to play on the road and face Centre College at 12 pm EDT
