Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw University field hockey team came out on top in its 2-1 overtime victory over the Allegheny College Gators.

The Gators struck first, going up 1-0 midway through the third quarter; however, in the fourth quarter, senior forward Eva Nicholson gathered a ricocheted save off Allegheny's goalie and found the back of the cage to tie the game at one apiece.

In overtime, the Tigers played with confidence, pushing the ball across the midline and getting four shots to the Gators' one in just three minutes of play.

In the 63rd minute, Sarah Goff rushed past her defender and found Allison Quackenbush for the game-winning goal.

The Tigers improve to 1-3 and face The College of Wooster on Saturday, September 25, on the road at 11 am EDT.
