Tigers Open Weekend with 3-0 Win over Illinois College

\Decatur, Ill. - DePauw moved to 6-2 on the season following a 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-18) win over Illinois College at the Millikin Invitational.

Katie Gansle paced the Tigers with 10 kills and hit .346 for the match, while Grace Filbrun assisted on 14 of the Tigers' 32 kills and Avery Christy added 12. Jenna Purichia an Christy each had three of DePauw's 10 service aces with Purichia leading the defensive effort with 10 digs.

DePauw outhit Illinois College, .206-.067 and held a 32-30 edge in kills.

The Tigers face Monmouth (Ill.) at 2 p.m. CDT today and Blackburn at 6 p.m.
