DePauw Suffers Season's First Loss

Sandusky, Ohio - After dropping the opening set against Trine, DePauw took a 2-1 lead before the Thunder won the final two sets for a 3-2 (25-18, 9-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-12) win over the Tigers. DePauw dropped to 3-1, while Trine improved to 2-4 at the NCAC/MIAA Crossover "Battle at the Point."

DePauw outhit the Thunder, .185-.150 with Trine holding a 52-46 edge in kills.

Sarah Herman paced the Tigers with 12 kills, while Grace Filbrun led the way with 24 assists. Jenna Purichia, Filbrun and Katie Gansle each recorded three aces. 

Purchia totaled 19 digs with Gansle following with 16. Lauren Ridgway's four blocks paced the squad.

DePauw wraps up play on Saturday with a 10:30 a.m. match against Alma and a 2:30 p.m. contest against Adrian.
