Tigers Earn All-Academic Team Honors; Baker and Bird Named All-Academic Athletes

Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw men's track and field team has been named an All-Academic Team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), while Ford Baker and Callaway Bird were selected as All-Academic Athletes.

For teams to be eligible, they need to have a minimum 3.10 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the most recently completed grading period. DePauw's men posted a 3.393 GPA and were among 160 Division III men's programs recognized.

Baker and Bird were among 450 members of men's programs recognized at All-Academic Athletes. To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.30 grade point average for the most recent grading period and finished ranked among the top 50 individuals or top 35 relays or competed at the NCAA Championships.

Bird ranked 35th in the 800 meters (indoor), while Baker was eighth in the 3,000 meters (indoor) and 22nd in the 5,000 meters (indoor).
