Greencastle, Ind. - After finishing North Coast Athletic Conference West Division play with a 12-0 record, DePauw was represented with five players on the all-NCAC team including the player and pitcher of the year honorees.
Senior catcher Becca St. Germain (Sr., Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) was named the conference's Player of the Year and is hitting .417 on the season while leading the Tigers with 35 hits, 12 doubles and 30 runs batted in. She slugged .667 and also has thrown out six opposing runners attempting to steal. She is the fourth DePauw player named NCAC Player of the Year and second straight after Sydney Hollar was selected in 2019. St. Germain was a second team choice in 2018.
Cami Henry (Jr., Camby, Ind./Mooresville) was selected as the Pitcher of the Year and is 18-0 in the circle with a 0.82 earned run average. She's recorded five shutouts and shares the team lead with three saves. In 110 2/3 innings, Henry has struck out 168 and walked just 24 with opposing hitters batting only .136 against her. She ranks in the top 10 in NCAA Division III in five statistical categories and is only the third player to earn NCAC Pitcher of the Year honors in consecutive seasons.
Joining St. Germain and Henry on the all-conference team are outfielder Abby Pyburn (So., Antioch, Ill./Antioch), utililty player Paige Price (Jr., Napterville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) and infielder Grace Smith (Jr., Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville).
Pyburn is batting .488 on the campaign and leads the squad with 24 runs scored and 24 stolen bases, while Price hit .386 and shared the team lead with four homers and was second with 32 hits and 17 RBI. Smith is also hitting .386 for the season and is tied with Price with 32 hits and has driven in 15 runs with 13 steals. She is fielding .981 with just two errors at shortstop and earned honorable mention in 2019.
St. Germain and Henry earlier were named to the NFCA First Team All-Central Region team, while Pyburn was a second team choice.
DePauw finished the regular season with a 34-2 overall record and has won 18 straight as it makes its seventh-straight NCAA Division III postseason appearance and 12th in the last 15 years. The Tigers travel to Millikin University where they will open regional play on Thursday, May 20, against Mount St. Joseph.
