Terre Haute, Ind.- A 16-year-old school record in the 4x400 meter relay was broken tonight by Charlotte Borland, Erin Pasch, Annalise Grammel, and Seelye Stoffregen after running it in 3:58.12 to take third in the event.
With a total of 116 points, the DePauw Tigers finished the Friday Night Spikes Series with just over 14 individual top-five finishes, landing them in third place at the end of the night.
Leading the team in individual top-five finishes was Pasch, who completed the night with a second-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (15.41) and the 200-meter dash (26.50), tying for fourth in the high jump with a final height of 1.53.
Borland ran the 100-meter dash in 12.80 seconds, tying with WashU's Lauren Hamilton for third, while also pulling in a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.54
The Tigers continued to find success in the 4x100 meter relay, with Jaida Smith, Borland, Alexis Cagan, and Stoffregen finishing second with a time of 50.72. Stoffregen would also finish first in the 400-meter hurdles (1:06.13).
In distance running, Rachel DeLancey would finish third in the 1500-meter run (4:46.36), and in the 5000-meter run (19.27.84), just behind teammate Rachel Cook (19:08.20), who helped lead the Tigers to a second through fourth-place sweep with Maddie Perry taking fourth (20:22.85). Jess Gaumer raced in the 3000-meter steeplechase and placed fourth with a time of 13:30.67.
In the field events, Mady Altman and Smith took fourth place in the hammer throw (33.77m) and the triple jump (10.32m), respectively.
The Tigers' next meet is Thursday, May 6th, where they will travel to Ohio Wesleyan for the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships.
