Tigers Take Third in Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Series

Terre Haute, Ind.- The DePauw University men's outdoor track and field team finished third in the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Series with a total of 104.50 points.

The Tigers completed the night with eight individual top-four finishes and a first place finish in the 4x100 meter relay, with the team of Ayo Laleye, Evan Manges, Briggs Cecil, and Rickey Alsum, who ran it in 43.70 seconds.

The Tigers would tally four second-place finishes across the night, with Garrett Elkins in the high jump (1.85m), Thomas Brelage in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:02.65), Max Carroll in the 5000-meter run, and Michael Ocased in the 1500 meter run (3:52.40).

Ocasek would also finish third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.43. Rounding out the top-four finishes for the Tigers, Trey Browne finished fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase, while Miles Main (16:00.68), Aaron Worley (16:02.30), and Daniel Saltz (16:04.44) helped complete a second through fifth-place sweep in the 5000-meter run.

DePauw's next meet is Thursday, May 6th, where they will travel to Ohio Wesleyan for the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships.
