Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw University women's outdoor track and field team took first place in the DePauw Quad 2, finishing with a total of 190.50 points.
The Tigers tallied six individual first-place finishes and took first in both relays. In the 4 x 100 relay, Jaida Smith, Charlotte Borland, Alexis Cagan, and Seelye Stoffregen finished with a time of 50.75. In the 4x400, Annalise Grammel, Cagan, Stoffregen, and Borland finished with a time of 4:09.38, nine seconds ahead of second place.
Borland would go on to take first place in the 200-meter dash (26.06) and second place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.72. Just behind Borland in both the 100-meter dash (13.16) and the 400-meter dash (27.51), Cagan finished third and second, respectively.
In the 100-meter hurdles (16:32) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:10.65), Stoffregen finished first. DePauw would dominate the mid-distance and distance events throughout the meet sweeping first through fourth in the 800-meter run, with Grammel coming in first (2:26.17), Kate Hennessey finishing second (2:27.18), Jenny Noll third (2:27.43), and Rachel DeLancey with a time of 2:28.09 to take fourth.
DeLancy (4:52.09) and Noll (5:00.80) finished second and third, respectively, in the 1500-meter run. Rounding out the distance top-three finishes, Rachel Cook took first in the 10,000-meter run (40:32.23), Ellie Margulis finished second in the 5,000-meter run in 21:45.89, and Jess Gaumer came in third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 13:06.63.
In the field events, DePauw pulled in three-top three finishes. In pole vault, Emma Stemen vaulted 3.00m (9-10.00) for second-place, while Smith earned second in the long jump with a final jump of 4.83m. Mady Altman would tally the third top-three finish in field events, with a third-place finish in the javelin throw, throwing 28.85m.
DePauw's next meet is Thursday, April 22, where the Tigers will be competing in the Hillsdale College Gina Relays.
