Greencastle, Ind.- On day two of the DePauw Invitational, the DePauw University women's swimming and diving team came up short, falling to Hillsdale College 612 to 674.
The Tigers started the second day of competition on top, finishing the 200-yard medley relay first and third. Breaking a pool record with a time of 1:48.62, Molly Ruggles, Sammie Waples, Ali Tallen, and Ashley Dapore took first. Finishing in third with a time of 1:52.20 was Maggie Perry, Alicia Delgado, Mei-Li Minnich, and Katherine Kempf.
Following the medley relay, the Tigers would place in the top three for three more individual events and 400- yard freestyle relay.
In the 100-yard freestyle, Dapore would finish in 53.34 for first, with Waples taking third with a time of 54.08.
Delgado would earn a third-place finish after swimming the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:36.27.
Tallying four more individual top-three finishes were Tallen (59.11) and Ruggles (59.89) taking second and third place respectively in the 100-yard butterfly, while Rachel Graves (2:15.19) and Minnich (2:17.72) finished in second and third place respectively in the 200-yard IM.
DePauw would close out the meet with a second and third-place finish in the 400-yard free relay.
