The #12 Tigers Beat Wabash at Home 70-53

Box Score

Greencastle, Ind. - The #12 DePauw University men's basketball team extended it's win streak to five after beating Wabash College 70-53 at home.

Like its Thursday night matchup, the Tigers and the Little Giants traded baskets throughout the first-half, with neither team able to stretch its leads to more than three possessions.

At the three-minute mark, Wabash would cut DePauw's lead to as little as one point; however, the Tigers' dominance in the paint both on the offensive and defensive ends would quickly extend DePauw's lead to 10 points going into the half.

By the start of the second-half, Nolan Ginther already had 10 points, Nick Felke had two assists and steals, and Aaron Shank led the team with five rebounds.

In the second half of regulation, both the Tigers and the Little Giants struggled from the field, shooting 45.8% and 38.5%, respectively.

DePauw managed to find some success behind the three-point line putting in five threes throughout the half. What gave the Tigers the edge over Wabash was the spark off the bench. DePauw's bench put up 12 points to the Little Giants zero.

DePauw would close out the game with just four turnovers in the half, six drawn fouls, which eventually put them at the line, where they would go 7 for 7 in the half and finish 84.6% overall at the free-throw line.

The Tigers are undefeated at home and improve to 12-1 for the season.

I can receive a top notch education while competing at a high athletic level. The connections I will make at DePauw as well as being in the Management Fellows program were also very important factors as to why I chose DePauw.
