Box Score Crawfordsville, Ind. - DePauw shot 60 percent from the field for the game and 82.9 percent in the second half on the way to an 84-70 win at Wabash. The 12th-ranked Tigers moved to 11-1, while the Little Giants dropped to 5-5.
DePauw jumped out to as much as a 10-point lead in the first half at 26-16 on Grant Niego's layup with 7:57 left. Wabash battled back with a 17-5 run to take its first lead of the contest at 33-31 before the teams went to the break tied, 35-35.
The Tigers opened the second half with a 9-0 run with six points from Nolan Ginther and a 3-pointer by Elijah Hales.
Wabash closed the gap back to 44-40 before DePauw stretched the lead to as many as 13 at 64-51. The Little Giants again chipped away at the deficit and trailed 73-68 after an Ahmoni Jones layup with 4:07 remaining.
DePauw, however, scored on four straight possessions capped by Ginther's layup with 2:22 left which pushed the lead to 80-68 and sealed the victory. Nick Felke's bucket with 1:05 left pushed his career total to 1,001 and made him the 28th player in program history to reach the milestone.
Ginther led the Tigers with 25, while Aaron Shank and Niego each added 13 and Josh Hall finished with 12.
Tyler Watson paced Wabash with 27 points followed by Kellen Schreiber with 21 and Jones with 10.
DePauw outrebounded the Little Giants, 29-25, as Hall and Shank each had five. Ginther finished with five assists and shared the team lead with Hall as each recorded two steals.
The two teams square off in a 3 p.m. game on Saturday.
