Springfield, Ohio- The DePauw University volleyball team lost in four sets (26-24, 5-25, 17-25, 14,25) in its matchup against the Wittenberg University Tigers.

In the first set of the match, DePauw fought back from a four-point deficit, tying the game twice before taking the lead and fending off Wittenberg to win 26-24.

Though DePauw and Wittenberg traded points at the start of the second set, the Wittenberg Tigers put away the set quickly with eight kills while forcing DePauw to commit 12 errors to win the set 25-5.

Unfortunately for DePauw, Wittenberg won the third set 25-17, after finishing the set with an attacking percentage of .394.

In the match's final set, the DePauw Tigers once again managed to climb back into the game after falling behind by four points. However, the Wittenberg Tigers pulled away in the set when it was 15-13, recording five kills and an ace to extend its lead to seven and ultimately winning 25-14.

DePauw moves to 0-3 overall and hosts Illinois College on Saturday, April 3 at 4 pm.
