Box Score 2 Greencastle, Ind. - Seventh-ranked DePauw scored in eight of 11 innings and swept a doubleheader from visiting Anderson by scores of 9-2 and 8-0 (5 innings) in the Tigers' home openers.
In the opener, DePauw took a 1-0 lead in the first as Grace Smith doubled and scored on Emily Timberman's single. Skylar Barnett's second-inning single plated Kaylyn Linder before Becca St. Germain drove in one in the third with a double and then scored on Brooke Bruin's grounder.
Anderson's runs came in the fourth as Chloe Closser hit a two-run homer.
Emma Konrad's grounder in the fourth brought home Linder who led off the frame with a single. The Tigers sealed the win in the fifth as St. Germain led off with a homer and Jade Mejia Wick clubbed a two-run clubbed a two-run shot. Linder scored the game's final run after reaching on a single and coming home on a fielder's choice.
DePauw totaled 10 hits with St. Germain totaling three and Mejia Wick two. The Ravens finished with two hits.
Cami Henry picked up the win to move to 10-0 by pitching 3 1/3 innings of hitless relief. Annika Garwood started and allowed two hits over 3 2/3 innings. Lexi Rankin dropped to 0-3.
In the nightcap, the teams battled through two scoreless innings before DePauw scored four in the third including St. Germain's two-run double, an RBI single from Paige Price and Abby Pyburn's run-scoring fielder's choice. Linder doubled home two in the fourth and later scored on St. Germain's single before the game ended due to the run-rule on Katerina Kilgore's fifth-inning single that scored Pyburn.
DePauw totaled 13 hits with Smith leading with three followed by Linder, St. Germain, Price and Pyburn with two each. Four Ravens collected one hit each.
Kersten Brayton moved to 3-0, while Alexis Kern dropped to 0-3.
The Tigers' doubleheader against Mount St. Joseph has been postponed to Tuesday, March 30.
