Tigers Lose to Knights 1-0 in OT

Box Score

Indianapolis, Ind.- In its second game against the Marian University (IN), the DePauw University men's soccer team lost in overtime off a golden goal.

Much like its previous matchup, the Knights and the Tigers played a physical game on both ends of the pitch.

DePauw would outshoot Marian 13-3 in the first half of play but struggled to find the back of the net.

In the second half, the Knights came out strong and held the Tigers to just five shots on goal, in comparison to its eight.

With neither team taking the lead in regulation, DePauw and Marian went into overtime, with the golden goal rule set into motion.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, the Knights, in the 99th minute, following a corner kick and a scramble to clear the ball, snuck the ball past DePauw to win the game.

The Tigers return home on Saturday, March 27, to host Wittenberg University at 1 pm EDT.
