Terre Haute, Ind. - The DePauw University women's outdoor track and field team finished first in the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Meet with 171 points.
The Tigers tallied seven first-place finishes, five second-place finishes, and five third-place finishes in its first outdoor meet of the 2021 season.
Opening the meet, Alexis Cagan earned third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.69. Cagan would win second place in the 200-meter dash (27.80), just behind first-place finisher Erin Pasch (26.96). Completing the sweep in the 200-meter dash was Seelye Stoffregen with a time of 28.05.
Pasch would go on to earn second in the 100-meter hurdles( 16:18), as well as first in the long jump (4.96 m). Stoffregen would tally another third-place finish in the 100-meter hurdle with a time of 17:58.
The Tigers would continue to find success around the track, with Charlotte Borland taking first in the 400-meter run( 1:01.12), in the 800-meter run Lannea Allen (2:34.00) finished first, with teammate Kate Hennessey finishing in second with a time of 2:34.63.
Sweeping the 1500 meter run, Annalise Grammel finished first (5:07.87), followed by Hennessey (5:08.01) and Allen (5:09.63). In the 5000 meter run, Rachel DeLancey tallied another individual first-place finish(19:08.22), with teammate Jenny Noll finishing third with a time of 19:16.67.
Finishing strong around the track, Grammel, Stoffregen, Cagan, and Borland earned first-place in the 4 x 400-meter relay (4:10.08).
Rounding out the top three finishes for DePauw was pole vaulter Emma Stemen who took second-place with a final vault of 2.97 m.
The Tigers are back at home to host the DePauw Quad #1 in Blackstock Stadium on Saturday, March 27.
