DePauw Opens Season with Win at Rose-Hulman; Douglas Breaks Own School Record

Terre Haute, Ind. - DePauw captured the top three places in eight different events and the top two in both relays on the way to a 224-54 win at Rose-Hulman.

Katherine Douglas broke her own school record for 11 dives when she totaled 445.5 points.

Four other Tigers won  two events apiece including Hailey Olsen in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:33.76) and 200 backstroke (2:12.71), Ali Tallen in the 100 back (1:00.16) and 100 butterfly (1:00.77), Sammie Waples in the 50 free (24.95) and 100 free (54.67) and Alicia Delgado in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.45) and 200 breast (2:42.02).

Also touching first were Ashley Dapore in the 200 free (2:01.89), Marisol Karmel in the 200 fly (2:18.01), Maddie Dixon in the 500 free (5:32.84) and Rachel Graves in the 200 individual medley (2:19.01).

Both relays won as the 200 medley relay of Molly Ruggles, Waples, Maggie Perry and Dapore was first in 1:51.56 and the 200 free relay of Perry, Tallen, Dapore and Waples was victorious in 1:41.21.
