Box Score Springfield, Ohio- The #15 DePauw University men's basketball team extended its win streak to three games after defeating Wittenberg University on the road 76-53.
Right from the tip-off, the DePauw Tigers had control of the game, going up 8-0 in the first four minutes of the half. DePauw would hold Wittenberg to just five points for over 10 minutes of play.
By the half, DePauw was up by 25 points, with Josh Hall leading the team, with 15 points and shooting 100% from inside and outside the arc.
Going into the second half with just four turnovers and outrebounding its opponent 15-8, DePauw put in some quick baskets to pad its lead.
Wittenberg played aggressively in the second half, fighting for possessions, pulling in 16 total rebounds, and shooting 46% from the three-point line.
Although DePauw's shooting percentage in the second half dropped to 33%, and Wittenberg outscored the DePauw Tigers 37-35, the first half dominance by DePauw held strong for its tenth win of the season.
DePauw improves to 10-1 for the season and travels to Wabash on Thursday, March 4, with a game-time set for 7 pm EST.
