Greencastle, Ind. - In the season-opening weekend of competition, Erin Pasch led the Tigers by winning the pentathlon at the University of Findlay Oiler Opener.
Pasch won with 3,485 points which was 301 points more than the runner-up performance. She picked up 889 points in the 60-meter hurdles and won the event in 9.10 seconds. She also collected 627 points with a shot put of 11.49 meters (37-8.5), 601 in the long jump at 5.15 meters (16-10.75) and 697 in the 800-meter run in 2:29.67, each of which were also first-place finishes. Pasch's high jump of 1.52 meters (4-11.75) was good for 644 points and tied for fifth.
Four Tigers competed in the University of Indianapolis Season Opener with Charlotte Borland finishing third in the 200 meters (28.04) and eighth in the 60 meters (8.36). Annalise Grammel was third in the 400 meters (1:02.10), while Abby Hartman placed second in the high jump (1.47 meters/4-9.75) and Emma Stemen was sixth in the pole vault (3.24 meters/10-7.5).
