Springfield, Ohio - Led by three top-15 finishes, DePauw's women totaled 71 points and finished second at the North Coast Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships at the Clark County Fairgrounds. Allegheny won the team title with 33 points and the Gators' Megan Aaron won in 22:43.7.
Earning spots on the all-NCAC second team were Jenny Noll with a 10th-place showing (23:53.9) and Sophie Porter in 12th (23:57.5).
Four Tigers achieved honorable mention including Emma Jacobs (15th/24:11.5), Lannea Allen (16th/24:13.7), Rachel DeLancey (18th/24:23.0) and Kate Hennessey (21st/24:32.4). Ashley Baldwin rounded out the Tigers' top-seven in 28th in 25:00.9.
"Second place is the highest we have ever finished in the NCAC," DePauw head coach Kori Stoffregen said. "That was our goal and they ran great. They want more!"
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, November 13, when it competes in the NCAA Regional at Shelbyville, Ind.
