Box Score Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw women's soccer team closed out its season in a 1-0 shutout home victory over the Kenyon College Ladies.
The Tigers came out to win, and its energy and aggressiveness from the start forced the Ladies to play on their heels.
DePauw broke down the Kenyon defense early, flying around the field, winning 50/50 balls in the air, and creating opportunities from every direction.
In the 18th-minute of play, the Tigers scored its only goal off a free-kick taken by Grace Truax, who placed it just in front of Annalise Grammel for her second goal of the season.
Up by a goal, DePauw's defense stayed calm under pressure, with Maya Caldwell tallying four crucial saves throughout her time inside the net. And on the offensive end, DePauw continued to force the Ladies to be reactive, putting up five shots and three corners in the second half of regulation.
The Tigers completed their season with an overall record of 3-8-2 and an NCAC record of 2-4-1.
