Box Score Oberlin, Ohio- The DePauw men's soccer team dropped its first conference match in its 1-2 loss to Oberlin College.
The Tigers were first to get on the board after over 35 minutes of play. From the left corner, Flynn Sheehan placed the ball just in front of Nick Mourouzis to chip in for a 1-0 lead over the Yeomen.
Unfortunately for DePauw, not more than a minute later, the game was tied at one apiece off an unassisted goal by Jon Schafer of Oberlin.
The Yeomen and Tigers went back and forth for the majority of the second half; however, Oberlin ultimately found the back of DePauw's net in the 71st minute, taking a 2-1 lead.
Unable to answer, the Tigers finished the night with 14 shots and just three corners and moved to 0-1 in North Coast Athletic Conference play.
DePauw's next game is at home against The College of Wooster on Saturday, October 2, at 12 pm EDT.
