Box Score Delaware, Ohio- The DePauw men's soccer team was shutout by No.6 Ohio Wesleyan University 0-4 on the road.
Ranked No. 6 on D3Soccer.com, the Battling Bishops struck early, going up 0-1 in the sixth minute.
The Tigers were able to keep Ohio Wesleyan to one goal in the first half despite allowing the Battling Bishops to take nine shots to DePauw's three.
In the second half, Ohio Wesleyan found the back of the net in the 52nd-minute, going up 0-2 with just over 30 minutes left in the game.
Down by two, the Tigers managed to tally six shots, doubling its total from the first half; however, the Battling Bishops were flying around the field and adjusting to every offensive advancement by DePauw.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, Ohio Wesleyan put the game away in the last three minutes of the match with two more goals.
DePauw moves to 9-6 overall, and 3-3 in North Coast Athletic Conference play. The Tigers are back at home on Saturday, October 23, at 2:30 pm to face Allegheny.
