Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw University field hockey team fell 2-1 to the Kenyon College Ladies in overtime at home.

After three tightly contested and scoreless quarters, the Tigers got on the board in the 51st minute of play after Amy Apfelbaum was fouled inside the circle by Kenyon goalie Payton Doan, resulting in a goal by Maddie DeAscentis off her penalty stroke.

The Tigers earned another look at goal just a minute later; however, the Ladies goalie Doan was quick to the ball and saved the penalty stroke with her stick, holding DePauw to just one goal.

Still, within striking distance, Kenyon managed to capitalize on congestion in front of the Tigers' cage following a corner penalty in the 54th minute to tie the game at one apiece.

Unfortunately for DePauw, it took just under two minutes in overtime for the Kenyon Ladies to put away the game.

The Tigers move to 2-2 in the NCAC and are back in Reavis Stadium on Sunday, October 17, hosting Wooster at 12 pm EDT.
