Box Score Oberlin, Ohio - In a match that included 21 ties and 10 lead changes, Oberlin took a 3-1 (25-21, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21) North Coast Athletic Conference win over the Tigers. DePauw moved to 9-9 overall and 2-4 in the NCAC, while Oberlin improved to 10-9 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
DePauw held a 46-44 edge in kills, but Oberlin outhit the Tigers, .231-.148. Sarah Herman led DePauw with nine kills and Ashley Haas hit .582 with seven kills and no attack errors in 12 attempts, while Andrea Jones paced Oberlin with 12 kills. Avery Christy led the Tigers with 20 assists and Taylor Gwynne had 26 for Oberlin.
Grace Filbrun recorded three of DePauw's eight service aces on the day, while Lauren Sands had four of Oberlin's 10. Jenna Purichia's 11 digs led the defensive effort, while Lauren Ridgway added three blocks. Moo DeHaro paced Oberlin with 15 digs with Iyanna Lewis and Natalie Dufour each totaling four blocks.
DePauw returns to NCAC action on October 19 with a 7 p.m. match at Wittenberg.
