Tigers Tie Grizzlies in First Triangular Meet of the Season

Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw University men's track and field team tied for first place with Franklin College in its triangular against the Grizzlies and the Earlham College Quakers.

DePauw collected 16 points between the men's 5000-meter run, led by first-year Max Carroll (15:58.26) and in the men's 1-mile run, with Michael Ocasek finishing with a time of 4:21.66.
The Tigers would tally three first-place finishes throughout the triangular. In the 400 meter dash, Marino Dolph would take first with the top time of 55.47, and in the 800 meter run Callaway Bird finished on top with a time of 1:59.81. A team effort by M. Dolph, Jack Rutstein, Ocasek, and Bird in the men's 4x400 relay (3:37.26) would solidify the third first-place finish on the track.

On the events side in the men's long jump, DePauw's Ayo Laleye (5.32m/ 17-05.50) earned second and Jordan Dolph jumped 5.19m/ 17-00.50 to earn third-place.

The Tigers host its second triangular of the season on Friday, February 5, at 6 pm.
