River Forest, Ill. - DePauw opened its game at Concordia Chicago on a 13-0 run and cruised to an 83-47 victory in the first road contest of the season. The Tigers moved to 2-0, while the Cougars dropped to 0-1.

After missing its first field goal try, DePauw hit the next eight on the way to a 19-2 lead in the opening 6:08. The Tigers' largest first-half lead was 24 at 40-16 after Aaron Shank's jumper with 5:07 remaining. The Cougars closed the gap to 48-29 with a pair of free throws just prior to the intermission. DePauw shot 58.3 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes to Concordia's 32.3 percent and held a commanding 24-11 margin on the boards.

Concordia opened the second half with a basket to cut the DePauw lead to 17, but the Tigers put a quick end to any comeback as they scored 28 straight to extend the lead to 76-31 with 7:39 remaining.

Elijah Hales paced five DePauw double-figure scorers with a career-high 18 points, while Nick Felke added 17. Nolan Ginther followed with 12 points and four assists as Cole Brady chipped in 11 and Shank 10. Josh Hall hauled down 10 rebounds as the Tigers held a 47-23 advantage on the glass. Emanuel Wilson paced the Cougars with 17 points.

DePauw shot 55.4 percent for the contest to Concordia's 26.2 percent and the Tigers outscored Concordia in the paint, 54-16.

"Just playing feels like a win," DePauw head coach Bill Fenlon said. "I'm so glad to see our guys competing together, especially the seniors. I'm excited about the challenges ahead this week."
