What course or professor impacted you the most at DePauw? Why?
PACS390 Commemorating Violence & Peace with Dr. Mahdis Azarmandi. In that class, facilitated excellently by Dr. Azarmandi, students avoided putting on a surface-level front. Instead, we all became part of discussions that one would only have with their close friends. The level of vulnerability and trust cultivated some of the best discussion I've ever had regarding the human experience.
What are your plans following senior year?
I will serve as a graduate assistant in the kinesiology department at the University of Maine while obtaining my MS in Kinesiology

Encouraging my teammates to push themselves to their limits and seeing them progress over time because of their efforts, especially in the weight room.

I learned that going the extra mile to help my teammates creates a culture that drives success.

What course or professor impacted you the most at DePauw? Why?
Mac Dixon-Fyle He taught me how to look at new cultures and experiences with an open mind, while staying true to one's own values and self.
What are your plans following senior year?
I plan to either enter the workforce, or get a masters in finance from Illinois Tech
What are some of your favorite memories as a DePauw student-athlete?
My favorite memories are competing and all of the down time with my fellow throwers during meets. When we weren't competing, that's really when me and my teammates bonded. We did all sorts of things, whether that be play games, cheer on teammates, or just talk about anything and everything. Those were always the moments when bonds were built.
What did you learn about yourself, while you were on your team?
I learned how to push through adversity, no matter how bad the situation may be. If you had a bad practice or meet, you can't let it impact the next day. I also learned the value of cherishing the time you have with those around you. My first two years throwing, most of my friends on the track team were 2 years older than me. They were gone before I knew it, but now I always remember to enjoy those around and not take those moments for granted.
