Tigers in Fifth after First Day of NCAC Championships

Granville, Ohio - DePauw completed the opening day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships with 21 points and in fifth place.

The Tigers' distance medley relay of Rachel DeLancey, Seelye Stoffregen, Natalie Gruszka and Jenny Noll earned all-conference honors after finishing second in 12:43.29.

Also scoring for DePauw was Haley Thompson with a fourth-place showing in the 5,000 meters in 18:53.08.

Erin Pasch qualified for Saturday's 400-meter finals after finishing fifth in the prelims in 1:02.47, while Gruszka qualified in the 800 meters by placing seventh in the prelims in 2:22.35.

The Championships wrap up on Saturday.
