DePauw in Fifth after First Day of NCAC Championships

Granville, Ohio - DePauw completed the opening day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships with 16 points and in fifth place.

The Tigers' distance medley relay of Cole Martin, Luke Patty, Callaway Bird and Michael Ocasek earned all-conference honors after finishing second in 10:24.48.

DePauw totaled seven points in the 5,000-meter run as Kyle Munz was fourth in 15:50.68 and Zane Williams seventh in 16:08.41.

Lucas Taylor picked up the Tigers' other point after placing eighth in the weight throw (14.08m/46-2.5).

Bird qualified for Saturday's 800-meter finals as he palced fifth in the prelims in 2:00.74.
