Tigers Finish Strong Against High-Caliber Competition

Springfield, Ohio- The DePauw University women's track and field team finished with multiple top-eight finishes in the Wittenberg Invitational.

Competing against colleges and universities from Division III to medium-sized Division I schools the Tigers, stepped up to its competition and pushed itself.

In the women's 1 mile Rachel Delancey finished with the time of 5:14.33 to take fifth in the finals and was closely followed by Jenny Noll, who finished in eighth place with a time of 5:18.31.

Continuing to find success in distance running competition Delancey would earn her second fifth-place finish in the women's 800-meter race with a time of 2:24.24, which bested her last meet's time of 2:24.94. Noll recorded a time of 2:24.26 to take sixth and improve her 800-meter time by eight seconds.

DePauw travels to Denison University to compete in the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, Feb. 28th through the 29th.
