Box Score 2 Jacksonville, Ala. - The 24th-ranked Tigers moved to 4-0 on the season after topping Emory & Henry by a 3-2 score and wrapping up the weekend with a 2-1 victory over Mount St. Joseph.
In today's first game against Emory & Henry, the Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first as Becca St. Germain singled home Kate Geary and Grace Smith drove in Abby Pyburn with a single.
The Wasps cut the lead in half in the fourth as Kyndall Hiatt scored from second on a DePauw error and then they tied the game in the fifth when Alex Braun singled home Leanna Toler.
DePauw won the game in the seventh when Geary doubled with two outs and Jade Mejia Wick singled her home.
St. Germain had two of DePauw's six hits, while Toler had two for Emory & Henry.
Julia Bork moved to 1-0 with the complete game win and Cameron Derr dropped to 1-2.
In the weekend's final game, Mount St. Joseph took a 1-0 lead in the first as Alehia Tucker led off with a double, moved to third on Ali Lang's sacrifice bunt and later scored on Elizabeth Ivers' single.
DePauw countered in the second when St. Germain led off with a double, moved to third on Alyssa Nowak's sacrifice bunt and scored on Caleigh Cramer's ground out.
The game remained tied until the sixth when Nowak doubled with two outs and later scored on Jordyn Fera's base hit.
Smith and St. Germain each had two of DePauw's eight hits, while four different Lions had one hit each.
Cami Henry moved to 2-0 after allowing just four hits in the complete game. Sarah Miller dropped to 1-1 with the loss.
DePauw returns to action on March 6, with a pair of games at the three-day National Fastpitch Coaches Association Leadoff Classic in Tucson, Ariz.
