Tigers Compete at Hillsdale and Denison

Greencastle, Ind. - Student-athletes represented DePauw at meets hosted by Hillsdale College and Denison University.

Zach Batt posted a sixth-place finish in the 1,500 meters at Hillsdale's Gina Relays after finishing in 3:55.75, while Paul Christian was eighth in the 5,000 meters in 13:38.81. Among other DePauw finishes was Kyle Munz placing 19th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:12.04.

On Friday evening at Denison, Luke Patty won the 400 meters (50.57) and Callaway Bird took first in the 800 meters (1:57.48). Michael Ocasek posted a second in the 400 hurdles (58.04).

Chase Wright had two top-five finishes as he was fourth in the 200 meters (22.90) and fifth in the 100 (11.34). Luis Torres was fourth in the triple jump (11.22m) and Demarco Henry fifth in the discus (40.84m).

DePauw competes in the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, May 3-4, at Kenyon College.
