DMR Wins NCAC Title on Opening Day of Championships

Wooster, Ohio - Paced by the champion distance medley relay, DePauw totaled 19 points and is in sixth-place after the first of two days of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships.

The relay of Callaway Bird, Johnny Miller, Michael Ocasek and Zach Batt won in 10:22.12 as the Tigers have now won the event for the third straight year. Spencer Miller was fourth in the 5,000 meters in 15:22.44 and Tyler Nemeth placed fifth in the pole vault at 4.05 meters/13-3.5.

Luke Patty qualified for Saturday's finals in the 200 meters after finishing fifth in prelims (22.87) to break his own school record and in the 400 where he was second (21.32). 

Bird earned a spot in the 800 finals after topping the field in the prelims in 2:00.16 and Satchel Oskins will be in the 60 hurdles finals after placing ninth in the prelims in 9.01 seconds.
