Oct. 2, 2019- The DePauw University volleyball team lost its first NCAC match at home in a 3-0 loss to Denison University (26-24, 26-14, 25,23).

Though Denison came out on top, the attacking efforts by DePauw kept the Tigers in each set throughout the match.

Across the match DePauw strung a couple of impactful attacking series to pull ahead; however, errors in the first set, in particular, led to the Tigers falling 26-24.

DePauw managed to hop in front early in the second set. However, after 15 ties and five lead changes, Denison would not allow DePauw any chance to build momentum and capitalized on two late errors by the Tigers, to take the set once again 26-24.

The third set the Big Red got the leg up on DePauw, going up 4-0 at the beginning of the set. Not willing to go down easily the Tigers clawed its way back into the set tying it at 16 all. Though DePauw recorded 16 kills and forced four errors on Denison, there was always an answer for its' efforts from the Big Red.

DePauw continues conference play on Saturday, Oct. 5 at home against the College of Wooster. Match time is set for Noon.
