DePauw Runs Win Streak to Five and Stays Perfect in NCAC Play

Wooster, Ohio - DePauw dropped the first set of its North Coast Athletic Conference match at Wooster, but won the final three for a 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-21) win over the Fighting Scots. The Tigers moved to 9-7 overall with their fifth straight win and seventh in the last eight matches and are 2-0 in NCAC play. Wooster dropped to 11-6 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Suzanne Peters led the Tigers with 17 kills, while Liv Hartman added 15 and Morgan Stearley 11. Grace Filbrun assisted on 46 of the Tigers' 54 kills with Stearley recording three of DePauw's 10 aces. Jenna Purichia and Meaghan Etling each had two aces in the win. Kaylee Nichols' 17 digs led the squad, while Corri Rusk had a team-high four block assists.

The Tigers outhit Wooster, .200-.149 and had a 70-67 edge in digs.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, October 6, when it hosts Hiram at 1 p.m.
