Tigers Rally for NCAC Win at Wittenberg

Springfield, Ohio - Host Wittenberg held a 2-0 lead in the second half, but DePauw rallied with three goals in a 17-minute stretch to take a 3-2 North Coast Athletic Conference win. DePauw improved to 4-4 overall and 4-2 in the NCAC, while Wittenberg dropped to 2-7 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

Blaine Donnelly scored 8:23 into the contests to give Wittenberg a 1-0 advantage before Allison Ormsby scored 11:55 into the second half on Donnelly's assist.

Kate Milner started the Tigers' comeback with a score at 50:48 and she knotted the score just 1:56 later. Cathy Zesiger delivered the game-winning tally with 3:42 left on Kelsey Doerr's assist.

DePauw held a 16-10 advantage in shots including 8-5 in shots on goal and also led in penalty corners, 8-6.

Hannah Metzger recorded two saves in goal for DePauw, while Allie Purvis had five stops for Wittenberg.

DePauw returns to action tomorrow when it entertains Sewanee in a Noon contest.
