Tigers Compete in Pair of Meets

Granville, Ohio - Four first-place finishes highlighted DePauw's competition at the Denison Big Red Invitational.

Chase Wright picked up a pair of wins in the 100 meters (11.12 seconds) and 200 meters (22.66). Tyler Nemeth won the pole vault (4.10m/13-5.25), while Pierce Sheehan did the same in the 1,500 meters (4:06.61).

A pair of Tigers put together second-place finishes including Luis Torres in the triple jump (11.43m/37-6) and Jacob Avenaim in the 100 meters (11.25 seconds).

The Tigers' 4 x 400 relay was second in 3:20.16.

On Thursday, DePauw was also represented at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays and were paced by a pair of second-place performances. Polo Burguete posted a runner-up finish in the 5,000 meters (14:45.96), while Kyle Munz was second in the steeplechase (9:48.18).

DePauw competes in the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships at Allegheny, May 4-5.
