Tigers in Third after First Day of Wabash Invitational

Crawfordsville, Ind. - On the first of three days of the Wabash Invitational at Crawfordsville High School, DePauw totaled 401 points and is third among seven schools. Birmingham-Southern leads with 490 points, while Saginaw Valley State is second with 439.5.

The Tigers' 200-yard freestyle relay of Allison Lund, Mary Woods, Sammie Maples and Olivia Neff won in 1:37.00.

Rachel Graves topped the Tigers in the 500 free in 5:19.95, while Nuna Bamatraf was DePauw's top finisher in the 200 individual medley as she finished eighth in 2:11.90.

Three Tigers finished in the top seven of the 50 free including Maples in third (24.17/24.15 prelims), Neff in fifth (24.57/24.30 prelims) and Lund in seventh (24.72/24.50 prelims).

The second day of competition gets underway on Saturday morning.
