Five Score in Double Figures in Season-Opening Win at Franklin

Franklin, Ind. - DePauw shot 52.3 percent from the floor and held a 47-30 rebounding advantage on the way to an 85-67 win at Franklin. The Tigers moved to 1-0, while the Grizzlies dropped to 1-1.

The Tigers trailed by as many as seven early in the opening half before drawing even at 16-16. Later DePauw put together an 11-0 run to take a 29-20 lead. The Tigers closed the half on an 11-3 run and took a 48-35 lead into the intermission. DePauw's lead reached as many as 21 late in the second half.

Nolan Ginther paced five DePauw double-figure scorers with 15. Cole Jenkins, Nick Felke, Ken Decker and Matthew Godfrey each had 10. Sam Gutierrez paced Franklin with 21, while Danny Goggans added 13 and Kale Morris 11.

Josh Hall and Luke Steinhart each had seven rebounds for the Tigers, while Jenkins had four assists. Goggans paced Franklin with six boards and Gutierrez handed out four assists.

DePauw travels to Illnois College where they'll face Blackburn at 4 p.m. CST on Friday.
