Tigers Defeat Pomeroys for Season's Eighth Win

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind. - DePauw scored a pair of second-half goals and held off host St. Mary-of-the-Woods for a 2-1 victory. The Tigers improved to 8-2-2, while the Pomeroys dropped to 4-6.

Grady Bruch scored on a Justin Mitchell assist at 52:26 before Nick Celona made it 2-0 with an assist from Erik Bauer at 80:24. The Pomeroys got on the board at 85:02 as Evan Crowe found the back of the net with an assist from Armon Glenn.

DePauw held a 10-8 edge in shots and each team had five shots on goal. The Tigers also held an 8-4 edge in corners with the Pomeroys totaling five fouls to DePauw's two.

Dylan Ruzbasan had four saves for DePauw with Andrew Aceituno totaling three for the hosts.

DePauw returns to North Coast Athletic Conference action on Tuesday, October 9, with a 5 p.m. contest at Ohio Wesleyan.
