Box Score Lexington, Ky. - DePauw picked up its seventh win the last eight contests after shutting out Transylvania, 6-0. The Tigers moved to 7-5, while Transylvania is now 1-9.
Gretchen Bechthold scored on Alexa Steil's assist just 11:34 into the contest before Kate Milner added an unassisted score at 21:24. Steil made it 3-0 on an assist from Milner at 29:11 before Milner rounded out the first-half scoring on Maddie DeAscentis' assist at 33:40.
Eva Nicholson scored both DePauw goals in the second half and was assisted by Milner on each.
DePauw outshot the Pioneers, 31-2 including 19-1 on goal. The Tigers also held a 20-1 advantage in corners.
Sarah Foye recorded one save in posting the shutout for DePauw, while Allyson Benz had 13 saves for Transylvania.
