#18 DePauw Finishes Home and Dual Meet Portion of Schedule with Loss to #7 Maroons; McManus Breaks Two Pool Records

Greencastle, Ind. - The 18th-ranked Tigers finished dual meet and home competition for the season with a 151-125 loss to seventh-ranked Chicago. DePauw completed the dual meet season with a 5-3 record.

It was a record-setting senior day for Sam McManus as he broke pool records with wins in the 100-yard breaststroke (55.24) and the 200 breast (2:04.74). Classmate Kurt Swieter also collected a pair of firsts in the 200 freestyle (1:44.34) and the 500 free (4:47.97).

Two more seniors picked up wins as Sam Wagner won the 50 free (21.88) and Eric Addy won one-meter diving (228.90 pts) and the three-meter competition (241.15 pts).

The Tigers' 200 free relay of Aidan Schurig, Swieter, Wagner and McManus touched first in 1:25.95.

DePauw returns to action on February 14-17 when it competes in the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Denison.
